SIMONETTA CAVILLI

Simonetta is passionate about diversity, inclusion, equality, justice and empowerment.
As a life-long learner, prior to completing her Bachelor of Laws, Simonetta comes to Clairs Keeley with a PhD in Public Health, a Bachelor of Science and Post Graduate Diplomas in both Education and Forensic Sexology.
Simonetta’s research involved women’s identity and well-being following family and domestic violence which subsequently led her to seeking a career in family law where she believes her range of skills are best suited. She is an academic and lecturer at Curtin University in her area of research and speciality and has been lecturing at Curtin for a decade.
Simonetta is a strong advocate for human rights and social justice. Alongside her academic position, she is a committee member of Your ToolKit.com, a website dedicated to assisting those experiencing family and domestic violence.
Simonetta believes in bringing an academic and evidence-based lens to resolving complex family law matters. She believes in aligning theory with best practice methodologies to achieve an equitable resolution.
Outside of law, Simonetta loves to spend time with her family, either cycling around Perth or enjoying exploring the state with her young son.
